A place to bring your real presentations, pitches, and talks — and get practical, expert feedback and coaching aimed at sharpening your skill and your impact, live, every week.
(Members will receive a link to the Speaker Shed Member Portal after signing up and onboarding.)Same day, same time, every week — consistency builds the habit and makes sign-up planning easy.
If a Workbench slot goes unfilled, that time converts to live Q&A, quick coaching questions, or improvised practice — the session never depends on sign-ups to have value.
Simple, first-come-first-served — with a few guardrails to keep it fair.
A shared sign-up form, first-come-first-served. You can flag urgency, though final ordering discretion rests with James — this keeps the queue fair and prevents "urgency inflation" over time.
Signed up but can't make it? A no-show without adequate notice forfeits priority for the next 2–3 sign-up cycles.
That time becomes live Q&A and group coaching — you still get real value from the session, even without a turn at the Workbench.
Membership is capped at 20, which guarantees every member at least one Workbench turn per month. If the Shed is full, you can join the waitlist.
Please don't bring anything confidential, proprietary, or sensitive to any session — public or private. I won't ask you to sign an NDA, and I won't sign one either.
The same standard applies to anything posted in the community space.
Beyond the weekly session, membership includes ongoing resources.
Short, searchable, just-in-time instruction (5–12 minutes) addressing specific problems — grows from recorded sessions and recurring member questions.
Practical frameworks, worksheets, and checklists — audience-analysis tools, story builders, opening builders, rehearsal checklists, and more.
Adaptable examples and patterns — openings, transitions, closing structures — built out as demand emerges.
Winging it is expensive. The presenters who consistently make the impact they want treat presenting like a craft — they study it, get coached, and keep sharpening. When you're not landing the way you want to anymore, that's when it's time to take it to the Shed.
